4.Watch out where is the delivery from.If it’s not from the GHD official locations, or from Asian country ,very likely the GHD is fake .
5.Payment methods.
To set up a proper merchant account with a credit card processor,you would need to disclose certain details.So the scammer like to use Paypal,Western union.
6.Check the product lines of the retailer.Counterfeiters usually only sell GHDs straightner,while most of the registed retailers also sell other HGD related products or salon products.
7.Are the GHDs too cheap?
The retail price should be around £119.Any 40%-50% discounted price which is significantly cheaper can be an indicator of fakes.They may explain why the price is so low.
The 2 big lies are:Directly from manufacture or the leftover of GHD requested quantity.
Whatever the reasons are,please don’t believe them.
8.Guarantee.
Only genuine GHDs come with a standard 2 year manufacturers guarantee.This is always mentioned on the approved GHD online shop,however,the fake websites never mention this.
9.Register online
All genuine GHDs can be registered on GHD’s official website. You can find the hologram on the label attached to the power cord of your styler, it is the alphanumeric code directly below the bar code.But you still need to keep in your mind,sometimes,fake GHDs may carry fake hologram.You will not realize it until you try to register it.
Anyway,sometimes you just need to trust your common sense,any doubt,don't buy.
